Today I decided to finally do it! I am starting my blog.
The birth of my blog comes from frustration. For years, I have been buying and subscribing to magazines. Magazines that show super skinny models, wearing clothes that I could only hope to afford. I am a self-proclaimed bargain shopper. I mean who doesn't like a sale, right? Since becoming a stay-at-home-mom this past year, I have had to get "creative" with my style and budget. I no longer have to invest in "work clothes", but I still like to look good when I am out and about.
I have begun to take a deeper look into my closet. That abyss that is filled with clothes from my past and even some from my future (you know, the ones that still have a tag hanging on them)! Clothes that I will never fit into again, or ones that I really should never be seen in again! I am approaching 40 (yikes!) and I am learning that buying a few great basic items is the way to go! With my basics in hand, I then shop around for bargain, "pops of color" garments and accesories.
I look forward to documenting my style journey and help others see that you don't have to spend lots of money on a brand new outfit...just adding a few colorful items can be just as powerful!!
